There are obviously many Japanese erotic film production companies. However, those that have high production standards can be counted on the fingers... maybe on the fingers of one hand.

We've already talked about ATTACKERS.....maybe we'll talk about them again in the future...but the most historic company is CINEMAGIC.....a direct descendant of the declining soft gore industry of the 80's and 90's

CINEMAGIC's productions have always been focused on hardcore BDSM, while always maintaining a scripted continuity in the stories of each film.......in a way as if they were filming a regular film with a beginning, middle and end and not a series of disconnected scenes.

Unfortunately, films from before 2000 are hard to find (but not impossible), but the compilations that CINEMAGIC releases from time to time give us a picture of those early years and the mega stars who starred in them.

@georgegeorge Do you have any recollection of a film called, something like, Desolation High or Domination High? Essentially a fem-dom type video where the female students attack/abuse the male staff and students. Must be about 20 years old. It might even have been uncensored, but I'm not sure. I'm sorry...I don't know anything about it, especially if it's uncensored, it's unlikely I'd know. Generally, uncensored productions are considered - and rightly so - second-rate productions for the Japanese.

One of the things I admired about these early ATTACKERS "Slave Island" films, like the ones I dedicated above, was the director's attention to detail.

Those of you who opened the links I gave you will have noticed how sweaty the female actors are during their stay in the dungeons. It is obvious that the production pays an assistant to constantly ''sweat'' the female actresses with some kind of spray....something that adds to the sexiness of the scene.

Unfortunately, in later films, such luxuries gradually disappeared........

Despite all this, some of the later films stood out.....mainly because of their scripts.

The story goes something like this (unfortunately there are no subtitles and my Japanese is not that good) Two friends (or sisters) are captured and taken to the dungeons in empty cells without either knowing that the other is imprisoned. For most of the film we see the humiliations they are subjected to by their torturers (even doing 69 (1:42:00) with each other without knowing that one is licking the other's pussy). The scene where the identity of one is revealed to the other (1:54:00) is an anthology scene.
