You're most welcome! This place is an absolute gold mine and I thought it was about time I started contributing. How long these will stay up, I don't know (my first time using gofile) but I'll re-post if needed.

Nope, I just used a simple VapourSynth script for the QTGMC and then FFmpeg for the actual encoding. Nothing fancy, no paid software; it looks good because authentic Lupus DVDs always looked pretty good to begin with.
Lupus really was unmatched in terms of technical quality (picture and sound), not to mention the amount of money they clearly spent on period sets/costumes/etc. 😀 But it seems like nobody really bothered going back to the source material as tech improved, instead sharing the same potato quality encodes that have been floating around for ~15 years. So we naturally associate their older stuff with low quality.

I watched those but didn't save them. I think it's a bit apples to oranges though. The videos posted by OP in this thread (which I saved and re-posted yesterday) are clearly fresh DVD rips by someone who knew what he was doing. The allegedly "remastered" RGE videos posted earlier were just AI upscales of the same poor quality sources that have been floating around for a couple decades now, also with very inflated file sizes. There were some obvious AI artifacts like grotesque facial features on someone in the background, etc. AI/upscaling algos are cool of course but still can't do miracles with a poor quality source.
I tried multiple times but apparently the upload feature on this site is completely fucked. It used to work, now it doesn't. That's all the information I have. I'll try again in a week or so.

Have you tried to use FileFlux as per this link , it is up and running and working well...
I click on "Video Upload" and either get some nondescript error on the screen, or, nothing happens and I then have to do the old "inspect element" routine and look at "console" to see some other error that I don't care to understand further (dark memories of being a web developer... ugh...)
I refuse to use FileFlux. It sucks for end users, who have to click through about eight different links in order to verify that the file is no longer available. So if the default "Video Upload" button down below fails to get the job done, then, I guess I'm not uploading.
Like I said, I'll try again in a week. Unless someone else would like to step up. Obviously I'm not the only person who downloaded these videos, am I?
I have 2 of them at lower quality if that is any help

Thanks anyway. I met some problems with the upload feature these days too. The upload process is running in an unbearable low speed and finally result in a failure.
