I only have one copy of each of the videos in the original Redstripe collection and unfortunately my computer skills are not high enough to identify a remaster. I can tell a a good copy from a poor one but that's as far as I can go.🙁Excellent..are there any remasters of those?
You can usually tell the Red Stripes I 'remastered' (i.e. edited together) by the SE (for Strictly English) in the title. That version of Loyal Employees doesn't seem to have it, but it's exactly the same size as mine, and it's a .mov file, and I had to use Quicktime for some of them, so it must be, and it's as good as they get. It was an early one, so it's not as good as some of the others.I only have one copy of each of the videos in the original Redstripe collection and unfortunately my computer skills are not high enough to identify a remaster. You are right, of course, but unfortunately this version has a small, but I think important, end scene missing, where the Mistress gets her comeuppance. I keep both versions 🙂. I didn't do an improved 'SE' version of Apron Stings, but it was a much later video, so better ones do exist. This one may not be the absolute best (which is 4 Gb or more) but is a big improvement:
Very true. As I said, I didn't do the re-edit. It's only a minute or two at the end, but it's significant, as you say. I meant to mention it, but forgot. You are right, of course, but unfortunately this version has a small, but I think important, end scene missing, where the Mistress gets her comeuppance. It's still there for me - possibly by direct download only. (Edit: not any longer, but thanks to bholluk who's replaced it.)Hi. Can you repost this please.
This sometimes happens when joining files together, and I seem to remember (it was a while ago) that it was to avoid this that I edited it in Quicktime instead of Avidemux.Hi. For some reason the sound on Loyal employees disappears a third of the way in to the film…does anyone else have this problem
I tried various players etc..thanks for the other editionThis sometimes happens when joining files together, and I seem to remember (it was a while ago) that it was to avoid this that I edited it in Quicktime instead of Avidemux.
One solution would be to play it with Quicktime instead of VLC or whatever you're using. Another workaround that usually works is simply to fast forward over the glitch - just jumping back or forward a few frames is usually enough - and the sound should reappear.
If none of that works, then the original Red Stripe version, while not quite as sharp as the SE version, is not too bad, and has a warmer colour tone that some may prefer, so try this:
