I can't help but make the association - I think Claire won't be rereading Harry Potter anytime soon, at least not the Philosopher's Stone and the chapter about choosing "magic" wands (canes). 😉
Or maybe the opposite: when she gets to that chapter again, she'll rub her poor punished bottom and wish she lived in that fictional world with the main characters.
She's got three of them now, and let's be honest - Claire is going to hate the magic each one delivers...
